3 Clicks records only when you ask. With 3 Clicks Cloud, audio is sent securely for transcription; with Apple Speech, it’s transcribed on your Mac. Either way, text is sent securely for cleanup, and provider credentials remain on the backend. Your recent private history and failed-audio retry queue are stored per account on your Mac. Recordings are kept on our servers for up to 30 days for quality review, then deleted automatically.

Which Macs does it run on?
3 Clicks runs on macOS 14 or later, natively on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Apple Speech, the optional Voice Engine that transcribes on your Mac, needs macOS 26 or later.

What happens to my recordings?
3 Clicks records only when you ask. With 3 Clicks Cloud, your audio is sent securely for transcription; with Apple Speech, it’s transcribed on your Mac. Either way, the text is sent securely for AI cleanup. Recordings and their transcripts are kept on our servers for up to 30 days for quality review, then deleted automatically.

Voice Engine
Can my speech be transcribed on my Mac?
Yes, with Voice Engine. Apple Speech transcribes on your own Mac; it needs macOS 26 or later and Apple’s English speech model. 3 Clicks Cloud stays the default: it’s the most accurate and learns the words in your dictionary. With either engine, the text is still cleaned up in the cloud, and if Apple Speech can’t finish a recording, the cloud transcribes it so nothing is lost.

Privacy
Will it overwrite my clipboard?
No. Whatever you copied before you dictated is still on your clipboard afterwards. 3 Clicks keeps its own private history of your recent transcripts, separate for each account on your Mac. Re-paste with ⌘⇧V, or search, copy, and delete past transcripts in the app.

Accuracy
Which languages does it understand?
English, on both voice engines today. To get the words of your work right, add names, acronyms, and jargon to your personal dictionary, along with preferred replacements. 3 Clicks also removes “um,” “uh,” and any filler words you add.

How do I install it?
Download the DMG, open it, and drag 3 Clicks into Applications. The first time you open the app, macOS asks you to confirm an app downloaded from the internet: click Open. Then allow Microphone and Accessibility access when prompted, and start dictating.
